Most jewelry uses electroplating — a thin gold layer applied over a base metal. It wears off in months because it's essentially surface-level. When it wears through, the base metal reacts with your skin and sweat, causing green marks.
We use PVD coating — Physical Vapor Deposition. It bonds gold to steel at a molecular level under extreme heat. It doesn't sit on top of the metal. It becomes part of it. That's why it doesn't flake, fade, or react.

No. We use nickel-free surgical stainless steel — the same grade used in medical implants. Skin reactions from jewelry are almost always caused by nickel in the base metal, or the base metal being exposed when plating wears off. Neither happens here.
We have customers with documented nickel sensitivities who report zero irritation after months of continuous wear.
Minimal maintenance is the point. Wipe with a soft cloth if needed. Rinse with fresh water after the ocean or pool. That's it.
Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals like bleach or strong cleaning agents — these can affect any metal surface. Everything else in daily life is fine.
Yes to both. Sweat doesn't affect the PVD coating, and sleeping in jewelry is fine. Most of our customers never take theirs off — that's the intention behind every piece we make.

Sizing information is listed on each product page. Most of our bracelets are adjustable (16+5cm) and fit the majority of wrist sizes. Rings are listed by standard US sizing.
